OLD SCHOOL MEETS NEW AGE

OUR HISTORY

Our story begins in 1864 when our ancestors from Iceland and Denmark left on a pioneer journey. After crossing the Great Plains into the Salt Lake Valley, our ancestors became some of the principal settlers of Spanish Fork.

Five generations later,  the Christensen family continues the tradition of farming, passing down the land, technique, and work ethic from father to son.

HERITAGE OF HARD WORK.

GENERATIONS OF EXPERIENCE.

WHO WE ARE

Ken Christensen Alfalfa Hay Specialist Utah

Ken has been immersed in his passion of farming his whole life. At a young age he started working on the family farm and has over 60 years of experience running the same land as his forefathers.

He further developed his skills as he graduated with an Animal Science degree from Brigham Young University. He is the proud father of five children and attests that his success has been from hard work and dedication.

Ken Christensen, Owner
Lyle Christensen Horse Alfalfa Hay Expert Utah

Lyle found that while his business degree from Brigham Young University enabled him to live abroad and pursue other opportunities, his passion was at home working side by side with his dad.

After much thought, he returned home to utilize his business experience within the family operation. Lyle constantly finds ways to improve the family farm with technology and new ways to streamline work.

Lyle Christensen, Manager

Lyle is moving ahead with many innovative ideas, creating a certified weed-free alfalfa program and working to implement a grass-fed cowherd to sell to local consumers. Ken stays involved with the farm as he guides Lyle into the best practices of growing the very best hay for horses and maintaining the best herds possible.
